We are excited to offer a workshop dedicated to Unit 4, Area of Study 2 for all Legal Studies teachers (including new and experienced teachers).

The purpose of the session is to focus in greater detail on the technical aspects of each key knowledge (particularly the newer key knowledge), legal updates to be aware of in 2024, and the connections that can be made across key knowledge. There will also be a focus on assessing the Area of Study, advice around timing and assessment, and core case studies to use in 2024.

This session is different to ordinary ‘teacher toolkit sessions’. Its purpose is to give teachers greater confidence in and understanding of the more technical aspects of the course, with attention given to the newer key knowledge, including international pressures, the High Court and the role of representative government, and features of the operation of the doctrine of precedent.
